Captain Beany is the alter ego of Barry Kirk, a 64 year old man living in Port Talbot, South Wales. Thirty years ago, Barry took the most ordinary household item, a tin of baked beans, and turned it into his own extraordinary alternative reality. He created Captain Beany in an attempt to leave his real world troubles behind, but in the process he almost completely forgot his former self.
